Open House - See the 2008 Bikes
Thursday, September 13, 2007
2008 bikes are on the showroom at Harley Dealerships. Also see the new Victory motorcycles at Tri-City Performance in both Springville and Centerville.
2008 marks the 105th anniversity of Harley Davidson. In 1903, William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson make available to the public the first production Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. The bike was built to be a racer, with a 3-1/8 inch bore and 3-1/2 inch stroke. The factory in which they worked was a 10 x 15-foot wooden shed with the words "Harley-Davidson Motor Company" crudely scrawled on the door. Arthur's brother Walter later joins their efforts.
Henry Meyer of Milwaukee, a schoolyard pal of William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson, buys one of the 1903 models directly from the founders.
Now the Utah Harley-Davidson dealerships are ready to show you the 2008 Model Year bikes with an Open House. Intermountain Harley-Davidson celebrates it’s 25th year this year this Saturday, September 15 from 9:00am until 3:00 pm. Go to www.harley-davidsonslc for more info.
Timpanogos Harley-Davidson will celebrate it’s open house on September 22 with a Hairy Back Contest, Burn Out Contest and Bike Show. There will cash prizes for the winners. There will be food, fun with Mick & Allen and music with a band in the afternoon.
And don't miss the Tri-City Performance 3rd Annual Fall Poker run and Open House. Not only can you see the new 2008 models but you will enjoy a 125 ride and Big Al's Texas BBQ for lunch.
See the 2008 bikes and enjoy free food and fun at these Open House events.
